Webinars at Vesuvius: support, balance and effectiveness
2025-11-12October at Vesuvius was dedicated to topics that promote mental well-being and workplace effectiveness. As part of our development series, we invited employees to participate in two webinars designed to help them better manage emotions, challenges and relationships in a professional environment. We believe that a mentally healthy organisation is one in which employees can both collaborate effectively and respond constructively to difficult situations.
Conflict as an opportunity for better collaboration
The first webinar focused on managing conflicts in the workplace. Conflicts are a natural part of cooperation, and the way we handle them has a direct impact on team atmosphere, efficiency and engagement. During the session, participants explored different types of conflicts, learned how to identify their sources, and gained practical strategies for effective resolution. The discussion also highlighted the role of communication and negotiation in building a culture of trust and mutual respect.
Understanding emotions
The second session addressed the topic of dealing with emotions in challenging situations, such as experiences of loss or life changes. The goal of this webinar was to support participants in building emotional resilience and developing skills that help maintain mental balance at work and beyond. We discussed how to take care of ourselves and our colleagues during emotionally demanding times, while maintaining energy, motivation and a sense of agency.

Participation in the webinars provided an opportunity to develop competencies that not only improve individual well-being but also enhance overall team effectiveness. It was also a step toward strengthening a culture based on empathy, open communication and mutual support – values that at Vesuvius we regard as equally important as professionalism and innovation.
