Responsibilities:
- Quarterly Reporting process:
- Interact with local and regional management in all Business Units in Vesuvius to ensure timely, complete and accurate reporting of Sustainability Performance:
- Maintain systems structure and access rights allowing reporting
- Support users and ensure data is reported on time
- Check quality and address issues
- Consolidate data and prepare summary reports for senior management
- Analyze and highlight the main points of attention
- Technical expertise:
- Design / improve reporting tools (Power BI, excel for BI):
- Identify business requirements to convert raw data to meaningful insights
- Create dashboards and visual interactive reports using Power BI and Excel for BI
- cooperate with other teams (Master Data, BI) to design and implement robust solutions across systems
- Maintain different levels of access for users
- Systems maintenance:
- Maintain people Master Data and access rights (Lotus Notes, MDM, Pro-Sapien, Office 365 Groups, SharePoint)
- Maintain and upgrade existing systems structure (Lotus Notes, MDM, Pro-Sapien, Office 365 Groups, SharePoint)
- Data Analysis - support internal stakeholders:
- Support Sustainability projects in Vesuvius, provide data, carry out analyses and benchmarks
- Participate in the Annual Report/Sustainability Report preparation:
- Set up the infrastructure to collect the data (Scope 3 evaluation, Recycled Raw Materials database)
- Adjust systems (annual MDM tables data preparation and refresh)
- Support external and internal sustainability audit
- Assist in the preparation of Vesuvius Sustainability Assessments (Carbon Footprint, CPD, EcoVadis, WRA PRE)
- Project management – be a key participant in the implementation of the new software from the Business side (in cooperation with IT project leader) and progressively improve the reporting tools and systems to gain quality and efficiency:
- Organize the cooperation with stakeholders in the company to establish project scope, system goals, and requirements
- Structure the project plan with the IT department, evaluate resource requirements at each stage
- Participate in project execution through different stages and report on progress:
- Identify new system requirements
- Translate non-technical requirements into technical specifications
- Produce specifications for new or modified systems
- Collaborate with Business Analysts, Project Lead, Business Intelligence and IT team to produce new systems and resolve issues
- Test the new systems to validate that they are working as expected
- Design new reporting tools (Power BI, excel for BI, SharePoint)
- Conduct regular reviews of systems
- Train users on the new systems and provide support
Requirements:
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience, preferably in a controlling / analyst role, with international interactions
- University degree, preferably in engineering or business
- Fluent English both written and
- Experience in participation in software implementation projects would be a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (especially pivot tables) and PowerPoint required
- Good knowledge of Power BI
- Knowledge of SharePoint will be appreciated
- Very comfortable working with data
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Ability to work across cultures
- Team player to work effectively with other departments
