Duties 

• The HSE Specialist supports the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of Health, Safety & Environment standards. The role ensures legal compliance, promotes a strong safety culture, proactively identifies risks, and drives preventive actions to protect employees, contractors, environment, and company assets.
• Support implementation and maintenance of the company’s HSE management system in line with Polish law and Vesuvius Group Standards,
• Conduct regular workplace inspections, lead risk assessments team and support mitigation actions,
• Lead or participate in incident investigations, root cause analysis, and tracking of corrective actions,
• Coordinate and provide safety trainings, onboarding programs, safety campaigns and toolbox talks,
• Ensure compliance with Polish regulations and internal safety procedures,
• Participate in internal and external audits, support preparation of documentation and corrective plans,
• Support emergency response planning, drills, and crisis management activities,
• Foster a positive safety culture by engaging employees, promoting safe behaviors and continuous improvement,
• Monitor environmental compliance (waste management, emissions, water, chemicals) and support environmental improvement initiatives /sustainability programs,
• Maintain environmental documentation and reporting as required by law and corporate guidelines,
• Prepare periodic HSE statistics and reports (KPIs, safety performance, environmental indicators),
• Support cooperation with authorities,

Requirements

• Master's degree in Safety Management or postgraduate diploma in EHS,
• Fire Fighting Inspector Certification (advantage),
• 3+ years of experience in HSE within industrial, production, construction,
• Experience working with ISO 45001 and/or ISO 14001,
• Strong knowledge of Polish legal requirements in Health & Safety,
• Strong ability to identify hazards and propose practical, preventive solutions,
• Strong ability to lead training sessions effectively,
• Communication Skills,
• Skills in incident root cause investigation methods (5 whys, Ishikawa),
• Polish – fluent,
• English – at least B2 level,
• MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) – very good,
