On October 1, at Vesuvius Skawina, we celebrated a year without an accident. It is a joyful occasion, which we celebrated with a sweet treat.

– I have emphasized many times how important the health and safety of each employee is to me. This is the highest value – says Aleksander Sawiuk, Site Director at Vesuvius Skawina – Over the last year, we have invested in improving working conditions in our plants in Skawina, and in the next months and years we will continue these projects – he assures.

Hundreds of audits are carried out at Vesuvius in Skawina every month, based on which actions are defined to reduce risk at all workplaces. Each employee can also speak about improving work safety – this is done thanks to iEngage questionnaires, meetings with the crew, the MORE improvement program, as well as Line PPS boards, where employees can submit their observations at any time.

– I would like to thank all employees for the fact that, following the CORE Vesuvius Values, they have the courage to submit their comments – says Aleksander Sawiuk. – Thank you for stopping when necessary and not performing hazardous activities. It is also priceless that our employees take care of each other and, when necessary, pay attention to dangerous behavior – he adds.
