It was a real pleasure talking to our CEO during the second meeting of “Let’s lead!” in Skawina series. Patrick Andre was sharing his experience and challenges in being a leader.

We could hear that as a leader, our focus should stay on people matters. It was also interesting to learn about how top management can facilitate careers for women these days and how he, as CEO, makes sure to be consistent with what he says, how he ‘walks the talk’.

On a more personal note, we could understand that stress can be a motivating factor, that it’s important to accept your own choices, and that all this can be done in a balanced way by sharing time between family, work, and hobby/sport.

As leadership is also about challenging others to grow, we will take this meeting as a starting point in continuing our own development journeys. Leadership counts – no doubts.

The ‘Let’s Lead!’ meeting cycle is an initiative aimed at developing leadership skills within the team at Vesuvius’ Skawina site. Stay tuned for another meeting on 20 April.
