"Let's take care of ourselves – just in case" – OSH Days at Vesuvius Poland in Skawina.

2023-06-28

Occupational Health and Safety Days is an initiative promoting the company’s safety policy. This year’s edition was aimed at employees and their families. We started the celebrations with a Family Picnic, where we had the opportunity to participate in activities related to road safety.

Then we moved to the company premises in Skawina, where we attended trainings and workshops to reinforce our knowledge in high-risk work, such as working at heights and in confined spaces. Using VR goggles, we tested our skills in equipment preparation, securing, and evacuating injured individuals. Employees also had the opportunity to clarify any doubts regarding the selection and use of respiratory protective equipment.

As part of the campaign, we also had sessions on preventing degenerative spine diseases for office workers. The exercises presented by a physiotherapist provided relief to our spines. During the TOWN HALL meeting, where this year’s edition of Occupational Health and Safety Days was summarized, winners of organized initiatives were announced, including a children’s art competition titled “Safe Parent at Work,” a competition for the best film titled “Why I Use LTT,” and a quiz assessing knowledge in safety, fire protection, and waste management.

We would like to thank the organizers of the event (Paulina Młynarczyk, Maciej Bil, Magdalena Nogańska, Marcin Drabczyk), and we can’t wait for next year’s edition of Occupational Health and Safety Days 🙂
