On Saturday, March 9th, we had an unusual meeting in Vesuvius for guests under the age of 18. We shot a video about one of our values – THE COURAGE.

We know that courage is not easy. This is one of the most difficult privileges we can make use in our lives. It has various degrees of initiation. You can have the courage to live, but you can also have the courage to live the way you want – and this is a big difference.

Fortunately, courage can be learned. We decided to start learning from the basics by asking our children what this value means for them.

A harbinger of that day’s effects is seen in the pictures – and soon a ready-made video will appear 🙂

Christmas is a time of aid and sharing of kindness. Vesuvius also decided to join in supporting others. We organized Christmas Cake Fair. Everybody was welcome to take part in our event – one just had to bake a cake and bring it to the fair – on December 17

We were selling sweets for a symbolic price and all proceeds were donated to Zespół Placówek Edukacyjno-Opiekuńczo-Wychowawczych in Wielkie Drogi. We purchased the household appliances which helped the boys who were trying to recover from what ruined their lives.

Helping people in need makes one happy, especially during exceptional Christmas time. We would like to thank everyone who had been involved in this event and wish you a Merry Christmas!!

One of the aims of Vesuvius is constant learning and developing. That is why we have created the Knowledge Center – our school, where internal trainers will share knowledge and improve our Vesuviusan.

Each of the Company’s Employees will have the opportunity to participate in internal trainings, which will help us to develop trainers who will receive the necessary knowledge and competences so they will be able to pass on to others.

We want to reward the efforts of our future trainers to put in their work. That’s why you will be able to earn points for conducting the training that turn into rewards: cinema tickets, vouchers, development training and more.

We have now started “Train the trainer”, which will allow our trainers to transfer knowledge to the Vesuviusan from the beginning of 2019.

Residents of the Krakow area know very well that the freshness of the air must be taken care of – especially in the autumn and winter, when the smog arrives. At Vesuvius, we always try to be helpful to others.

That is why in November we decided to help the youngest – we purchased air fresheners for Kindergarten No. 3 in Skawina. From now on, children can enjoy the purity of air, and their parents do not worry about their children’s breathing.

On December 17, we were guests in Szkoła Podstawowa nr 3 in Skawina. We organized a meeting “Bezpieczna Szkoła – Bezpieczny Uczeń” (“Safe School – a Safe Student”) where we discussed safety at school and on the street.  We also reminded the rules of road traffic and other rules of everyday conduct in different situations.

The school holds “Szkoła Promująca Bezpieczeństwo” (“Safety Promoting School”) certificate, therefore we could not turn down their invitation. The main part of our meeting with children was a special contest with questions. It turned out that the students were flawless in the answers! We decided to reward them with colorful gifts from Vesuvius.

The meeting was hosted by: Anna Włodarczyk-Mazgaj (HR Business Partner) and Monika Jędrzejczyk (HR). Our Master of Production, Paweł Pasterak, presented protective clothing in Vesuvius and answered all the questions children had about working with us.

Additionally, we donated 65 reflective vests to the school – because safety first!

Vesuvius is always happy to help those in need. This time it was also during the opening of our headquarters in Krakow – Go-live Celebration Party.

The event took place on September 21, 2018 – we organized a lottery with prizes, during which PLN 2230 and GBP 20 were collected.

We spent the entire amount of the Beautiful Angels foundation. Thanks to this, they will be able to renovate rooms for their children, children from the poorest families.
